Product Variations:

• Clear Satin (3028): Offers a subtle, noble shimmer that modestly emphasizes the wood grain.

• White Satin (3037): Provides a lightly white-tinted transparent finish, giving wood surfaces a fresh and modern look.

• Clear Matt (3058): Emphasizes the wood's grain and natural characteristics, providing a warm and rich effect without a sheen.

Product Features:

• Durable and Hardwearing: Extremely tough finish that is resistant to common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. 

• Food Safe: Complies with EN 1186, making it safe for use on surfaces that come into contact with food. 

• Microporous Finish: Allows the wood to breathe, reducing the risk of swelling and shrinkage. 

• Easy to Maintain: The finish is resistant to dirt and can be easily cleaned without sanding during future applications.

Specifications:

• Application Tools: Osmo Flat Brush, Hand Pad, or Osmo Microfibre Roller.

• Recommended Use: Kitchen wooden worktops and tables.

• Recoat: One coat, when signs of wear become visible.

• Dry Time: Approximately 8-10 hours under normal climatic conditions (23°C/50% relative humidity).

• Coverage: Approximately 24m² per litre with one coat.

• Number of Coats: Two coats on raw wood; for renovations, one coat on the clean surface is normally sufficient – without sanding.

Application Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure wood surfaces are clean, dry, and frost-free (maximum moisture content of 18%). Sand the wood surface carefully, finishing with P150-240 grit sandpaper depending on the wood species. For kitchen worktops use absorbent hardwoods like Oak or Beech, final sanding grade P120. For very absorbent woods like Pine, sand to a maximum of P150. Before oiling, remove sanding dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.

2. First Coat: Apply TopOil thinly along the wood grain using an appropriate tool (e.g., Osmo Microfibre Roller, Flat Brush, or Oil Finish Application Fleece). Remove any excess product with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.

3. Drying: Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 8-10 hours in a well-ventilated area.

4. Second Coat: Once the first coat is dry, apply a second thin coat following the same method.

5. Final Drying: Allow the final coat to dry for another 8-10 hours. The surface is fully cured after 2-3 weeks.

Maintenance and Care:

• Regular Cleaning: Use a dust mop or damp mop with Osmo Spray Cleaner to maintain the surface.

• Occasional Maintenance: For intensive cleaning and refreshing, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

• Recoating: When signs of wear become visible, simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface.
