There are two versions available: Left and Right. The version you require will be determined by which side of the house/wall the unit can be installed.
The unit is designed to take fresh air from outside, clean it, warm it (if equipped with a heater), and discharge it into the central hallway through a ducting system supplied by the installer. The dwelling internal air discharge grille is typically installed at a high level in a central location within the hallway, but discharging the air down the length of the hallway (away from the front door) should be acceptable as well.
If an existing heat source can warm the discharged air, for example, by placing the discharge grille above a radiator, unit performance may be improved.
If extra heating of the incoming air is required, such as in extremely cold weather, the integral heater can be used to distribute filtered, warmed air throughout the property.
The Flatmaster 2000 range has been specifically designed to ventilate homes without lofts and is based on the popular and low-energy Positive Input Ventilation principle that Nuaire invented in 1972. The unit has an integrated heater that can provide additional heating when needed during extremely cold weather.
The PIV system continuously introduces air into the home at a low rate, eliminating condensation dampness and forcing indoor pollutants such as radon gas and carbon monoxide out. The end result is a clean and healthy indoor environment.
The attractive and compact unit is typically installed in a convenient location, such as a kitchen cupboard or hallway, and is ducted to a central location. Multi-positional spigots enable faster installation by requiring only one external wall penetration.
